About this cartoon: Republican nominee Donald Trump jumped on a news story about Democratic party officials being hacked and openly called for Russia to hack into Hillary Clinton's private emails, an appalling plea for one of the nation's worst enemies to actively interfere with American elections. Following a not-surprising firestorm of criticism, including from his own party and America's intelligence community, Trump declared he was just kidding.
